Bad Luck?

American culture truly is falling apart when an emotionally unstable individual named “Perez Hilton” dressed like a character from Mary Poppins throws the most deserving Miss USA a very controversial curve ball, ultimately costing her the crown.

It’s quite apparent that Carrie Prejean would be Miss USA 2009 if she hadn’t had the misfortune of picking the ‘gay’ question card.

The Value in Question

I believe all of us should have equal rights.  No matter what you believe, in God or otherwise.  And I believe same sex couples should receive the same benefits that straight couples receive.

However, the term marriage, the institution of marriage, was conceived by religion and is clearly stated in the oldest of texts that it is, quite specifically, to be between a man and a woman.

Have domestic partnerships, recognize them, by law.  But then we must remove the religious concept of marriage from our laws as I see it.  Isn’t this a separation of church and state?  A principal this country of ours was founded on? But that’s for yet another topic of discussion.

Carrie is our Miss USA

She was truthful and honest, and I believe, represents the majority of Americans on her values, specifically the one in question.  This is the individual that should represent America in the Miss Universe pageant in August.  Not the woman that may actually have exactly the same opinion on gay marriage but happened to choose the right card and was lucky enough not to have had to air her controversial opinions on national television.

We love you Carrie, you’re our true Miss USA.

I support her too! These scriptures came to mind when I heard about this..

    Matthew 8 :36
What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul.

    Matthew 8:38
If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Fathers glory with the holy angels.

She did not give an answer to win a crown from man, but I believe she earned something much greater from the true King for not wavering and speaking from her heart. I think she is a true beauty(inside and out) and a woman of integrity. I would have done the same thing.

I think Perez is entitled to his opinion but to ask her to basically put her religious beliefs aside to make him and others happy, is asking her to not be herself. It is one thing to say you are a christian but when you are actually asked to state and defend what you believe, really shows who you are. If you truly are in love with Jesus then your actions will show that.

The question from Perez Hilton is a perfect example of the BULLYING and oppressive Stalinesque tactics used by the Gay Political Community to advance its political agenda.

Notably, the Gay Political Community is the MOST INTOLERANT group engaged in political debate today.

Their strategy is to INTIMIDATE INTO SILENCE every person holding opposing
views. If they can render the opposition silent, they can advance their world view unquestioned and obtain more and more preferential treatment.

This was Gay Terrorism pure and simple.

Who remembers Miss USA from even one year ago? I certainly do not. What Carrie Prejean did will be remembered for a long time. She is a hero!

How can Perez ask an opinion question, and then criticize Carrie for her honest response? I thought, in the pageant world, they were looking for the fluidity of the answer, poise, sentence structure, and diction. To require her to answer an opinion question in such a way as to sway the judges is ridiculous. He obviously did not follow the rules when judging Carrie. I believe his scores should be thrown out! Carrie deserves the crown!

    Carrie,

Not only that I support you, the most important thing to know is that God supports you. He is near you and He is watching and judging. May the Almighty carry you through the battle, having a good fight and win and stand firm. Be courageous and be humble for the battle is not yours, but belongs to the Lord.
The world will persecute those who belong to Jesus and follow him because the world hate Jesus in the first place. But, Jesus overcomes.

    Carrie,
Perez Hilton truly acted in a ugly ugly manner concerning your answer,it is bullying ,we all are intitled to our opinion, unless it differs from those in the far left, they are not tolerant of Christians, they want tolerance themselves but don’t extend that to those who are on the other side.

I am praying for you Carrie!! Way to stand up in the face of controversy for what you believe in.

  9. EverydayPeopleon 07 May 2009 at 8:18 am

I praised God the day I watch this young lady stand up for her beliefs. Alas the body of Christ has another example of what is means to truly take a stand for your faith. I hope and pray for all of Christians to do the same in these dark times. It is said that if you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything. I believe this is true.
I think the choice to bare herself even for the ads, was not a good idea however, we see how the enemy would love to use our sins against us to hurt our witness. This just shows us the reason we need to be watchful of what we do so that the enemy will not have a way to find fault with us. Carrie made a mistake and will be forgiven for that. She is a tall pillar of faith and I praise God for her witness.

Carrie you go girl, I’m learning a lot from you.
    Your in my prayers always!
You may have lost your worldly crown, but I believe you gain one in heaven!

    Your sister in Christ,

    Traci :)

Dont back down from your answer to the gay marriage question, Carrie. As a heterosexual male, you have not made any mistakes as far as I am concerned.

We support you carre!!!! Be a good role model to the youth today!!!

  12. david cookon 12 May 2009 at 6:52 pm

Somebody asked you for a personal opinion on marriage and you offered your opinion on it. You did not make a sweeping moral judgment but what was your perspective.

Its a shame that this became such an issue and more importantly the mainstream media giving legitimacy to the amateurs on Youtube that reacted to your answer.

I respect you for your beliefs and thanks for stating what you said and how you said it.

  13. Trenton 13 May 2009 at 3:03 pm

Great to stand up for your beliefs and for what is right. Don’t worry about pleasing people, what you did I’m sure pleases God which is what is most important. God bless Miss Prejean

Scary how open the GLB community can be with their biggotry. The Message: if you are brave enough to publicly oppose us we will try to slant you into oblivion.

their first attack.. her answer: OK not gracefull but brave and true to her heart. but not popular in the Liberal community which permiates media and entertainment and is ever growing in politics. Since when is a pro hetro stance decidedly christian? does the hetrosexual lifestyle not just plain make more sence logicly.

ther seccond attack.. her photos: I have not seen a photo of her yet that couldn’t be published in a common magazine. Racey yes… have I seen worse in Vogue, People. Sports Illustrated. Calvin Cline Bulitin boards that anyone can see YES.

their third attack.. her implants: shes a model! implants have been around for HUMMMM? yea along time… why is this a shocking revilation to anyone? since when does implants have anything to do with ones intelegence? Im not familiar with that scientific study.

The Liberal pro marrage GLB community is just ticked that they can’t intimidate everyone into silence yet. KEEP TALKING AMERICA.

Prejean’s message: Be honest even if its unpopular… you are a better person for it.

I stand with Carrie and commend her for having the guts to stand up to the world and give her honest opinion. She lost the battle but she won the war! I believe that homosexuality is a choice and is the result of spiritual darkness in this world. I think that gay marriage brings down the quality of life for all of us and will lead to deterioration in many areas of society. We need to keep fighting the good fight and keep speaking out like she did!

Carrie has more cojones than Trump, Billy Bush and that other twit that agreed to have her fired!

There was just to much heat around Carrie due to that stupid, cowardly, calculated question posed by that homo-fascist, gossiping, bottom-feeder Perez Hilton.
I’m pissed! Cowards, all of them!! I can’t stand all this perverted, in-your-face, militant, pro-homosexual garbage being pushed on society right now. I live in California and we’ve had Civil Unions out here since 05′. Originally the homosexuals said “oh, we just want the same legal benefits of marriage.” So they got civil unions, now that’s not enough, what they REALLY want, is to call a same-sex coupling some it’s not and basically change the definition of marriage, and make no distinction between the two. At the end of the day the gay agenda wants to assert that there is no difference between men and women and that is just simply wrong and utterly ridiculous! I’m a woman, and glad to be and I love men just as they are! Our differences are complementary and good! These people hate God, that’s why they are doing this. The more they push, the more adamant I am in what I believe!

Pray for Carrie, but really pray for those people attacking her, you don’t mess with God’s kids, I’m afraid for them……………..

We love you Carrie! Thank you for your strength, your beauty and your honesty.

Way to go Carrie! We are behind you all the way. You were treated unfairly for answering a question from your heart. I pray that I will be that strong if I ever face a difficult situation.

God gave you the right words to say. Don’t lose your faith in the midst of this controversy.

    Respect for you, Carrie!

  21. Steveon 14 Jun 2009 at 11:14 am

    Carrie,
I am a father of a 12 year old daughter. Carrie, I am so very proud of you.
I hve seen such an amazing strength in your words and your stand for
marriage. We are praying for you for strength in the stand you are taking.
I always tell my daughter that what makes a girl beautiful is a beautiful heart—
that’s what you have. Please never change or compromise.

    Carrie,

As a father trying to raise his kids to walk the straight-and-narrow, it dismays me to see how gays try to portray their sexuality as “normal”. Homosexuality is a deviant, dirty, evil practice. They talk about “love” and tell us Christians we are hypocrites for not accepting what they do. Sure the Bible is all about love, but lust — now that’s another matter. I’m all in favor of men and women loving each other, but when they start lusting for each other…

When God describes something as an “abomination” we should really pay attention.

Carrie, thanks for standing up for your beliefs. You are not alone.

We all know that Carrie Prejean has done nothing wrong, she
was always respectful and deferential to every one. It became open season on her because this beautiful white all American female does not enjoy protected minority status, has she had
it no one would’ve dared to treat her in this manner. A small
group of people practicing the sick and deviant homosexual life-
style are trying to impose their sinful ways on the rest of us by
threats and bullying. Carrie became the victim of brutal defamation and unprovoked slander. All initiated by the author,
Perez Hilton, executioners Donald Trump and Keith Lewis, they
constitute an axle of evil. This “tolerant, vulnerable” lynch mob
decided to administer their brand of street “jusitice” to defenseless Carrie, denying her a career and lifelyhood. Please
America, don’t let this happen, we are not Afghanistan, Burma
or Iran. Lets all band together and mobilize to return Carrie to
her rightful place through a national campaign. May God bless
America and may God bless and protect sweet Carrie Prejean.

I support her because she is a victim of political correctness.

I can’t wait until her sex tape is finally released! What a slut, making dirty movies playing with herself! Awesome! Go Carrie, do a girl-girl scene next time!!!

  27. Bob Yon 07 Nov 2009 at 4:13 pm

Tsk Tsk Tsk…The hypocritical latter-day Anita Bryant made a naughty tape! At least now the Trump organization won’t repossess her two remaining assets….

  28. Bob Yon 07 Nov 2009 at 4:14 pm

Some family values she’s got…letting herself be videotaped masturbating….

  29. Jayon 10 Nov 2009 at 12:27 pm

Absolutely, I completely agree and support Carrie because her belief is biblical, which I am too.

I guess on a pageant competition, gays shouldn’t be allowed to judge because they are only compelled to their own feelings, that’s why it came out very bias to Carrie.

Carrie, just stay strong because Jesus Christ said:

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.” (Matt 5:10)

… and pray for those who persecute you.

Go go Carrie! You are not alone, you’re with us. I’m so impressed with your braveness.
